Top 6 Essential Materials for Manufacturing Modern Hotel Furniture
Substrate
Plywood is a strong and durable wood substrate that can withstand heavy loads and hold screws firmly. It may contain variations in flatness and thickness due to the use of multiple wood veneers in each panel. We offer fire-rated and marine-grade Plywood. If you want a strong substrate with the appearance of solid wood, Plywood is an ideal choice.
MDF is perfect for applications where the edges are molded. This engineered wood product is made by breaking down hardwood and softwood into wood fibers and combining them with wax and resin. MDF is generally denser than Plywood, features an even density, and is smooth on both sides. However, its poor moisture resistance limits its application mostly to interior spaces in the form of furniture and fit-outs.

Veneer
Choosing between laminates and wood veneer comes down to durability and consistency, natural beauty, and variations. Laminate is a printed surface that looks like natural wood but is usually made of plastic and bonded to a composite base. Wood veneer looks like wood, leading to the furniture’s aesthetic appearance, making it appear high-end. Laminates come in various colors, shades, designs, patterns & textures, and are resistant to water and scratches, making them exceptionally easy to clean.
Metal
Stainless steel is an excellent choice if you want to add a modern feel to the whole hospitality space without it becoming too overpowering. Stainless steel has a beautiful shine without being overly reflective, making it versatile with various finishes, from woods to velvet or faux leather.
Upholstered
Upholstery significantly influences the comfort and homelike feel of furniture in hospitality spaces. The choice of upholstery option is an essential part of specifying hotel furniture. Fabrics for upholstery come in different materials, designs, and colors. The nature of the fabric pile, the Martindale rating, and the fire retardancy are all crucial elements in selecting materials to produce furniture.

Stone
Many stone and stone-like materials, including marble, granite, quartz, and terrazzo, are used for table tops. Stone is a durable material but can stain and mark quickly, especially if it is porous. Quartz countertops are non-porous and more durable than marble, making them an excellent choice for high-traffic areas.
Hardware
Choosing the right hardware style, finish, and function is crucial in creating furniture fittings for a better quality of living. Our standard hardware selection includes heavy-duty hinges, clamps, handles, and channels. A variety of custom finishes are available to complete your interior design.
